Tromsø Tonight is a visitor guide starting with one specific question: where should I look for the northern lights tonight? We share three preview places, cited public information and practical planning advice. The full curated spot collection is part of the app.

What we know, and what we still need to check

Spot coordinates and summary facts come from the app’s catalog. The longer research notes link to their sources. Owner field notes are marked as pending until they have been written and checked; we do not present desk research as a visit.

Catalog distances are not verified road distances. A pin is not permission to park or a statement that a winter path is safe. Where sources reveal a discrepancy, the notes explain it.

Who is behind it

This guide is made by the team building Aurora Tromsø Northern Lights. App recommendations are our own product recommendations. This is not an official tourism, MET Norway, NOAA or UiT website.

Sources and forecasts

In the app, weather comes from MET Norway through our backend and activity inputs come from NOAA. The 0–100 score is our own heuristic. Read the scoring method and its limits.
